Jenny Chhim is a multidisciplinary creative who specialises in fashion photography, with a background in fashion design and
visual merchandising.

Jenny Chhim, an editorial fashion photographer, cultivates a dark and moody aesthetic with an elegant feminine allure. Her work features minimalist yet captivating compositions that skilfully utilise light and shadow to emphasise the subject. Through her creative direction, she juxtaposes contrasting concepts to weave compelling narratives that captivate viewers and invite them to delve into nuanced layers of meaning.

Drawing on her background in fashion, Chhim frequently integrates her own designs into her photographs. Her garments blend drapery and tailoring to accentuate the female silhouette, often adorned with hand-sewn details that impart a sense of bespoke imperfection, ensuring each piece is as unique as its wearer. She is committed to slow fashion principles, prioritising ethical and sustainable practices, crafting each item individually in her studio.

Chhim's artistic philosophy embraces the surreal and unsettling within a framework of contemporary aesthetics. Her monochromatic compositions, underscored by grunge influences, harmonise light and darkness, and blur the boundaries between femininity and masculinity.

A recent graduate from Whitehouse Institute of Design with a Bachelor of Design - Creative Direction and Styling. She also holds a Certificate in Bespoke Tailoring from the University of the Arts (UAL) London College of Fashion, and an Associate Degree in Fashion Design and Technology from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) University.
